Predictions: All the Winners & Losers of WWE Hell In A Cell 2020 wantwhattoread

The 2020 edition of hell in a cell is just day away but who will emerge victorious this Sunday and will any titles change.

Elias vs Jeff Hardy

Now there's only four matches on the card so we'll start off with the one that should be on the undercard which is Elias versus Jeff Hardy now with three hell in a cell matches on the card this may seem like a mundane match that is until you remember jeff hardy is in it and even at 43 jeff never holds back in the ring whether he's performing on television or in a pay-per-view match even though there are times when the fans wish he wouldn't take so many sick bumps. Elias is an extremely underrated performer whose biggest problems haven't been talent or his push but an injury bug which has kept him out of action just when he seemed to be getting ready for a push and this included the 2019 king of the ring tournament and 2020's tournament to crown a new intercontinental champion. Now expect an elias win not only because his new album is coming out soon but because the wwe wants to give him a push. This should be just one of several matches between jeff and elias as the feud can play out on both men's musical talents as well as elias's belief that hardy ran him over several months back. Knowing elias's fondness for guitar solos over his various opponent's heads look for allies to tune up jeff before getting the 1-2-3. Our final prediction elias defeats jeff hardy now while elias will win the match fans have to be wondering how he will react when the identity of the person who really ran him over is revealed. Will elias turn baby face when he learns it wasn't jeff or will he continue as a heel? The wwe universe knows better than to expect them to follow through with the storyline involving the mystery of who ran over elias but if it does sheamus presence on raw gives us a good idea who will become involved.

Smackdown Women's Championship

The next match on our card is a hell in a cell match for the Smackdown Women's Championship between Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks. Now after months of build up the golden role models are no more and yet the wwe universe isn't asking why the feud took so long to happen as we reported last summer vince mcmahon was hoping to have paid fans in the audience when banks and bayley did battle but instead they're asking why the first real match between the two is taking place in a hell in a cell match about usually reserved for the end of a feud rather than the start. A further complicating things is the decision to go with three yak condom 3 hell in a cell matches something which any rational person would see is diluting the special nature of the match. As fans know however the person calling the shots has been called many things but rarely has rational been one of them. This is vince mcmahon's world and we're just living in it so we'll get whatever he puts on the card whether we like it or not. This match is going to be the main event as the wwe continues its push of its women's revolution and vince gives two of his new favorite performers the opportunity to show why they're the two of the best in the wwe. Bayley has proven herself repeatedly as an old-school heel who is vicious when the opportunity arises and cowardly when things go south. In some respects bayley evokes the heel world champion rick flair from the 80s not only because she can make anyone look good but because she can make the fans believe that they're going to see the champion go down and defeat only for things to somehow go the other way. There's also another similarity between bayley and slick rick and the fact that she's facing sasha banks an opponent much like ricky steamboat flares opposite number who always brought out the best in him even though flair didn't need the help that this could become a five star classic and although no one should expect bayley or banks to wear the crimson mask they should expect both women to set a new standard for women's cage matches. Now the wwe has booked itself into a corner because the babyface can't walk out of the cage without winning the belt from the heel or she'll look like a bit of a chump. If banks loses this could set her career back much like seth rollins's babyface run collapsed following his hell in a cell match against the fiend last year and while the bank's win might seem like the end of the road for the feud there are a number of ways for them to keep it going ranging from bayley cheating away back to the title and or some sort of injury storyline. Our final prediction sasha banks will defeat bayley for the smackdown women's championship.

Universal Championship

The next up is the I Quit Hell In A Cell Match for the Universal Championship as Champion Roman Reigns takes on cousin Jay Uso. kudos to jay uso taking advantage of the opportunity afforded him when he received his universal championship match against his real-life cousin roman reigns. While reigns likely pulled some strings to make that match happen jay capitalized on the opportunity proving he's more than just a tag team competitor by demonstrating skills both in the ring and on the microphone. It's difficult to imagine the wwe would ever book a rematch if they didn't see anything special when jay wrestled reigns at clash of champions even though smackdown's list of potential challenges are quite limited. Now although jay uso may never make it to the main event for a permanent run this series with reigns shows he has much more to offer than some people believed and it's an example of how a world series program can help an untested star prove himself. Look for jay uso to have another spectacular performance somehow making it possible that he'll defeat reigns much like he did in their first match but ultimately reigns will get the momentum and pummel jay into submission likely sending a message by furthering the punishment along after the match is over. Now while rumor has it that jimmy user won't be cleared to return to the ring until november or december he may show up again just as he did at clash of champions hoping to save jay from a k-famed killing. On the surface the I Quit stipulation is a brilliant change of pace as it adds something to a pay-per-view featuring far too many hell in a cell matches for one show. It also gives the wwe the chance to hype the match is something special thanks to it being the first time there will be an I Quit stipulation in the cell. Now the only drawback is that it's putting jay uso into a tough spot for a baby face as normally I Quit matches are used to show the difference between baby faces and heels namely that babyfaces are by their nature gutsier than even the toughest of heels. They're gonna have to work hard to resolve this problem and will it go with something old school at the time the rock had mick foley's voice dubbed to say I Quit in their epic I Quit match perhaps it will have jimmy get involved and roman will threaten to end his career if jay doesn't give up. Another possibility that could happen is for big bad bill to make an appearance and as fans know dollar bill has unfinished business with the tribal chief. After all they were supposed to meet each other at wrestlemania 36 and goldberg may run into a stop roman from murderizing jay and or jimmy in the cell setting things up for a match between the two. Our final prediction is roman reigns retains the universal championship. Now regardless of our reigns wins the ending is likely to be controversial with uso giving in short of the wwe coming up with the creative finish something paul heyman could certainly help with if asked. Now we hope this happens and that the wwe doesn't go with another inconclusive finish like it has in the past hell in the cell matches or at risk watering down the match's value even more.

WWE Championship

Finally the Hell In The Cell Match for the WWE Championship between Champion Drew Mcintyre vs Randy Orton. Now the wwe has somehow managed to take the randy orton versus drew mcintyre program and stretch it over three months. A testament more to orton and mcintyre's hard work than any compelling storyline. Both superstars have shined during this program with orton playing the driven villain who will do anything to win the title and drew mcintyre playing the ferocious babyface seeking revenge not only for him but for the wwe legends orton has tried to take out after months of pummeling each other it's time for ortan and  mcintyre to show who the better man is and on this occasion it will be randy orton. Mcintyre has proven himself as wwe champion and while he's not guaranteed a future reign we believe he's earned one based on all he's done during the pandemic. Mcintyre's worked hard regardless of who he's faced in the ring he's improved on the microphone and he showed a willingness to improve his in-ring skills adding new moves to keep his matches fresh and to work with a variety of opponents whether they be technicians like dolph ziggler and randy orton or powerhouses like keith lee and bobby lashley. Naturally they haven't had any crowd reaction to judge drew's overness with the fans since he won the championship but he's kept the raw ratings about as steady as anyone could expect with the wwe force to hold its shows at the pc. Getting back to the story of this match the wwe has shown that mcintyre's only weakness so far has been his temper and this coupled with orton's experience advantage will see the wwe champion make a critical error. Where the challenger will cap lies on it capturing his 14th world championship. A fans may question why the wwe is putting the title on orton especially when the date for his much discussed return match with edge remains uncertain but it's a move that's being talked over ever since the beginning of the orton vs mcintyre program. Now although mcintyre doesn't need a win over orton they need to be careful with how the legend killer wins as a clean win for orton would hurt mcintyre. Our final prediction randy orton wins the wwe championship.
